Anybody had any use of the Hammerschmidt chainset ?

They loved it on that Nicolai in MBUK..

Hi mate yeah had one since late summer on my hard tail!
It's a great piece of kit not light but easy to fit and easy to use loads of clearence. Think the only complaint is some drag in over drive but not noticable in pedaling just something your awhere of while using it.
Think other than that having to get your b/b face'd is the only problem while getting it fitted as most bike shops don't have the tooling for this.
Anymore questions ask away and i will do my best to answer them.

Hi batman, thanks for the info. I have read about the weight. I have been thinking of getting a Rohloff as im fed up of chain suck but saw this chainset and thought it looked a good alternative.

Lynskey are doing their frames now with a Hammerschmidt BB and also supplying the chainset as a kit. Would you recommend as a way of getting rid of the usual gear setup ?
