On the way home yesterday suddenly realised I hadn’t a spare chain and my current one snapped twice on last ride.
Very reluctantly went into Halfords as LBS was shut.
No chains on display wasn’t a good start, spoke to beardy bloke behind counter and he produced a Clarks chain… my Heart sunk further. Took a look anyway and saw said chain was hollow-pin and pierced plates. Moral slightly lifted I enquired about the price..£14.00 was the reply. Bought it, and its actually a very nice piece of kit. Lighter than my £40 KMC and supposedly rust proof.
