…mate who hasn’t been on 2 wheels since his diamondback silver streak 2 was stolen in 1985.

In Manchester visiting said mate and brought him a bike to have a go on tomorrow. Best bang for buck? I’m heading back to NE tomorrow afternoon. Was thinking Gisburn or Lee Quarry so fafgong getting lost etc, to bring him up to speed with adult biking but never ridden round here. Any suggestions please?

    Cheers

Yep. If he’s not ridden an mtb for years I think Lee Quarry might be a bit full on. Gisburn’s great but a good hour from Manchester. Clapton Vale isn’t huge but there’s plenty to muck around on for 3 hours or so for a newbie

    Thanks Bregante.

Ended up heading to Gisburn. Great day out amazing weather, dry trails and lots of dust! My mate did well on my full-suss and it was me that ended up having an off!
