They look well engineered but, Why ?

    Why?

Same reason most of us ride. Fun.
I’ve registered interest and might go for one.

I think theyre pretty smart really. Would be ideal for blatting through London. Are they collapsible?

Doesn’t look like it. They do seem like fun – although I’d wonder what advantage they have over a BMX (I bought mine primarily for blatting round town!) Also I think people might underestimate what it’s like to pedal stood up all the time… at least with a BMX (and a longer seatpost!) you can get a bit of a rest.

Would love to have a go on one though!

It’s not really half a bike when it has 50% more wheels than a bike. Surely a unicycle is half a bike. This is a stand-up version of a kids tricycle.

I’ll wait for 650b version. The pavement will come to live.

    Yes,
    but
centre of gravity looks like it would cause you to faceplant on anything other than a small lip.
it look knackering as no option to sit down.

There’s a pic of it with the bars folded back on the website.

Surely climbing even the slightest incline is going to make pedalling smoothly almost impossible and descending one is going to be a terrifying exercise in not braking too hard lest you exit the front door?

I wouldn’t want to hit a big descent mainly due to the miniscule brakes on the tiny rear wheels!

yes, watch this guy take a while to stop on the flat – maybe the tektro brakes weren’t the best choice either :

This has just popped up on bookface…just under £500 so quite pricey for a plaything…not sure if its just been released properly or they are just ramping up the marketing.

    …and my first thought when I saw the video…looks a bit faceplanty…

Suppose there may be a market for the train commuters with a long walk/short ride from the station…but then a big kids scooter would do the job just as well?
