Ive built a few 7.5V 5.2Ah DX 'Bastid' Light compatible batteries that are no longer required.
A 1 Metre lead with a DX compatible connector is fitted to the battery. The battery is double sleeved and also silicone used on the wire exit, but even this doesnt make it 100% weatherproof and I would also suggest popping the battery into a re-sealable sandwich bag before popping it into the pouch.
