A fairly outspoken one when it comes to riding skills and stuff 🙂

However I did call his bluff a couple of years ago and asked him to teach me to jump – which he did and turned out to infact be a good rider and a decent teacher.

Teach me to jump the tandem Jezza!

Our tandem has sadly moved on, which is a pity. Just out of curiosity, where can I get a reasonably cheap and basic one for riding on the road? You must know! Ideally a Trek T1000.

Certainly Luke. Gies a shout when are are down this way – and we will have it at laggan on the 15th Aug do

Cheap decent tandem – no such thing exists. Dawes is probably the nearest which usually come in around a thousand but http://www.jdcycles.co.uk/bikes/tandems—other-brands/dawes-discovery-twin-tandem

    I meant 2nd hand. And by cheap I'm not talking £200, I'm thinking £500.

He can come across as a bit of an opinionated know it all, but he is a top bloke – lives a few miles from me. He does, generally, speak from a fairly wide wealth of experience gained from riding bikes of pretty much all forms since childhood, and he's also very, very competent when it comes to working on bikes. His riding does tend toward the gravity assisted these days!
