You know, the stuff for degreasing engines, motorcycle chains etc.

Would you use it to clean your cassette?

Used it for about 15yrs to clean my chain and cassette. It’s brilliant. Just use an old toothbrush and give it a good scrub. Decant a little bit into a small pot.

Wear protective glasses. Gunk is nasty stuff if you get any in your eyes. It burns!!!

Put in tin tray, remove cassette and leave it there for a while, swill about, and brush with old toothbrush, nice and shiny again. Put cassette back on then clean the chain with a chain cleaner. Often put the chainrings in with the cassette.
