    Hi,

I’ve settled on a GT grade as by N+1. I not that fit and ride a lot of long steep hills both in the UK and every year in the Pyrenees so I have to have 34 on the front and 36 on the back.

The easiest way I can see to do this is to buy the 10 speed tiagra version and add an 10 speed XT cassette and a 9 speed XT mech which is what I’ve done on my cross bike. I’d probably upgrade the chainset in time as well. But this comes with TRP sypres not the HDs

To get the HDs i’d need to get the 105 which is 11 speed and has a 52/36 chainset up front I can’t see a easyway to get the gearing i want without spending a fortune.

Any ideas and how different is 1O speed Tiagra to 10 speed 105 which I’ve had on my last few bike and i’ve been happy with.
