I use a pair of AM40’s that I’ve dyed black with Terrago synthetic leather dye. (I’m 48 and a half BTW 😀 )

I have Am40’s and Five Ten freerider in black/grey and like them both. Then again, I don’t care about people looking at me so the whole ‘pimp daddy Am40’ look thing don’t bother me.

I also have some nice Adio skate shoes which I wear for leisure, you can get a fairly plain set like these which could be less ‘kiddy’ looking?

I like regular Vans, can be had for really cheap off ebay and seem to last ages. I bought mine for £25 about this time last year and it’s just about time to replace them as the soles have lost their firmess.
