I've just got back from a quick jaunt in the lakes and did a ride around Grizedale called "Rough Ride" and finished up with a good chuck of the Northface trail. Got to say that the Roughride is pretty aptly named. I think the weather didn't help but felt like I was riding up waterfalls half the time. Bloomn' hard work!

Don't know if anyone else has ridden it in reverse but I'm sure it would be better ridden the other way around. There's got to be something wrong when you're riding a trail called "Devil's Gallop" but you're plodding on uphill and definitley not galloping down! Still there was some good downhill especially the drop down to the woodyards.
Still the last section of North Face made me forget about all the uphill grunt.
