    IIRC, it was hearing Powerslave that convinced Bruce – while supporting Maiden – to jump into the band once the chance was there.

    Erm, no it wasn’t: Bruce recorded Powerslave with Maiden, and also Piece of Mind before that and Number of the Beast before that.

    All great suggestions. May I throw a modern contender into the pot?
