I’ve even bought a new one but still no joy, it will stay up for a bit but only when it wants to.

Any tips on securing it, zip ties aren’t any good, was thinking of sticking it with silicone or something

    ????

    Thanks

Is it cold where you are? That’s the only time I’ve had recurring problems.

I lay the bike on it’s side and pour boiling water from a kettle on the boot. It then extends back to it’s original length. I have had to do this once a year for the last six years. This may work for you.

    Thanks chaps,

Yes it has been cold so I can see that won’t help, I’ll try the hot water trick though

My tip is to locate the boot at the top and just lower the post to locate the bottom. I have no idea why but thats the only way it works for me/

I use super glue. Popped a few small dots on about 4 months ago. Invisible and does the job. Might try the kettle trick.

As a slight aside… ordered a spare a while back but it is much bigger and more chunky than the original?
