So, I’ve had it three weeks but have only just got some bits swapped and my reverb fitted.

It (Troy) got christened in the peak(s) today – it felt like a lighter and stiffer version of my old Tracer VP which is perhaps unsurprising 😀

Is that downpipe discarding straight onto the the path with no chippings against the wall !!!!!

Does that downpipe just empty onto the bricks? Shocking.

And why do you have plastic opaque windows?

Your wall is only half pointed.

However, kudos for laying block paving that is designed specifically around the footprint of a bike.

    Reflectors. It has wheel reflectors.

Bloody hell it does ‘n’ all! I actually approve; stick to the man 😀

Start collecting those Rice Crispies tokens for some enduro spokey dokeys.

Ok, yes – we have plastic opaque Windows – it keeps the sun out.

Yes the down pipe empties onto the paving. Yes the paving is horrid.

But yes , ohhhhh THE SHAME!! I realised half way round the ride that I had wheel reflectors on still.

Please forgive me. How do I feel better?

    I think 20 Hail Mary’s and a dozen lashing’s from a High Roller should do it…

Matt – would that be a high roller 2 and in 27.5″, presumably? #current

Yossarian – my original Tracer was ahem called Tracy. We had many fun filled years together but ultimately it felt like she wasn’t prepared to put any effort into the relationship. She’d winge and creak and moan whenever I was demanding of her. I felt like she wanted to slow down when I didn’t.

So.. Along comes Tracer T275C , and apparently (according to the wife) it’s a He, and hence is called Troy.

Previous bikes include Ramascese (The Reign) and Gary (the Gary Fisher) , as well as the “b@stid secondhand Foes with a bent frame that didn’t deserve a name” and the GT I drive that gave me severe concussion and also didn’t deserve naming. Oh and Patricia (another GT, a Panterra) that ran away with the circus / got stolen by gypsies..

Very nice. A lot of inanimate objects get named in our house too, I have been forced into playing along as if it’s left to the wife, whatever it is gets christened with some retarded name that then sticks for years.

Yeah, my wife did that with the children.

I thought my numbering system was better. Mistake One, two, etc…

I didn’t realise you named your bikes. For once I really am lost for words.

Yes, I like Troy very much. Looks great. I have a weakness for Interns since my 2001 Tracer.

    Very nice o.p.

Yesterday was also new (to me) bike day for me. Within an hour of picking it up I took it it’s inaugural ride. and no I won’t be giving it a name…

An immaculate Mk2 Solaris bought from Rogan Josh of this parish. I had a Mk1 a few years ago which I really should never have sold. Having said that if I hadn’t I’d have struggled to justify a new one.

Not sure about reverb routing. Doesn’t it rub on the shock shaft when compressed?
Frame is lovely but for me, too many Orange details all together.
Very nice though, bet it rides amazing.

Yeah I need to sort out the reverb routing – it’s not ideal and the frame is really set up for stealth routing.

I think I can sort it out. Thanks though – it feels very efficient and absolutely flys down hill (140mm mode only tested so far, can’t wait to try 160!)

    That’s a very pretty cotic btw^^

Wheels too small. Not enough chainrings.
    For those reasons, aam oot

Wheels too small?! They’re already 1.5″ bigger than my old ones.

Are you some kind of 29er pervert?

As for lack of chainrings – I was pleasantly surprised that I was just about able to winch up all the climbs on my dark peak route when I thought it might not be do able with my level of fitness..
