I know someone whose using the vittoria ones, can’t say he’s any faster or slower.. Just about the same, but no punctures yet.

I’ve some new wheels coming soon, I’m tempted by putting on the new Michelin Power Race for TT’s.

Thanks for the link. Looks like it says gp4000 are the tyres to beat. I’m on the older corsas at the moment having used GPS before. I’d say the corsas feel faster…maybe I’ll go for grapheme next just to see

For clinchers I’d recommend the Spesh Turbo Cottons, they are bloody fast. I’m convinced they are quite a bit faster than the GP4000S, have a suspicion that the little dimples on the side (in the photo) are doing something funky to the airflow. And they look lovely with a nice skin wall 🙂

Need a new tub for the rear disc on the TT bike and I’d be tempted to go for the Corsa Speed G+ if I could find one for sale. Seem sold out everywhere. Might just get another Conti Podium TT. Shame they don’t do the turbo cotton in a tub.

When it should probably state that wider tyres have lower rolling resistance, which is just part of the going faster equation.

I’m using these Vittoria

aside from looking utterly cool, they are very very grippy and roll very well. The casings are ace, so they seem to filter out some of the rougher bits of road round where i live.

Am i any faster? nope.

Got pals (four of them I think) and they all rave about them. But as per the links above, perhaps no ‘significant’ difference to the GP4000s. I’ll give them a try next (I’m on the Contis at the moment) but no changing before they wear out.

Wow I had no idea that the difference could be as much as 30w between two different road tyres of almost teh same width.

LBS near us has them, I was surprised how relatively cheap they were. Owner has said he’s stayed puncture free on them

Are those turbos usually in specialised tyre amnesty? It normally is kind of round now isn’t it?

I’ have a brand new pair of schwalbe ones ready to go but I feel the need for skinwalls 🙂

I think they usually do the cheaper s-works turbo, not the turbo cotton.

Just had a pair of Vittoria Corsa G+land on my desk to go on the TT bike in the hope it will help improve my cornering confidence in the wet.

As it appears to rain every Monday night for TT’ing I’ll let you know on Tuesday.

First set of Corsa G+ 25c lasted over 4 months of hard riding including 150km of weekly commuting and lots of punchy hill riding. Very impressive, used to get 6 weeks out of old Corsa and pave tires doing the same riding.

2nd set of Corsa G+ 25c in anthracite sidewall looks better than the gumwall, but I’ve got another set of the gumwall on my deep section wheels.

Beautiful ride quality with latex tubes as the open tubular is very supple, compound is very grippy even in wet and tires feel very quick. Gp4000II similarimpressive speed /grip but lack the ‘feel’ of the Corsa, the GP use vulcanised construction which always feel stiffer.

I’m two races into my 25c G+ Corsas. First impressions? Big and fast. Big in that I’d go for 23c for TT duties, particularly on my wide Giant carbon rims. Fast? Well I’m running light long valved butyl inner tubes because the latex ones are a pfaff to pump on the deeper section rims of the carbon wheels ( but not the older aero rims). They make the same sound as latex – they are a supple tyre and feel fast.

First race was at Cyclopark, cornering was never an issue. Second was a speedfest at Hillingdon where I tried (and failed) to bridge to the lead breakaway. Six TT laps on my own and they felt great.

I’ll keep them on until they wear and put the Paves back on for autumn.

Very pleased so far.

I’m about 400 miles into my G+’s and I’m very impressed. My local roads are in a shocking state and a fair few have recently had new top dressing which cut up my Schwalbe Ones quite badly last year.
I don’t think they feel quite as fast as the Schwalbes but I haven’t punctured yet so they get my approval. Plus – they look the nuts.

I also wondered this – given the inherent property of graphene is strength, but not in the conventional sense.

I assume the carcass is still made from cotton or synthetic thread.

The turbo tires were very impressive for speed/grip but multiple punctures and 4-5 week lifespan prevented me buying another set after receiving the first set as a freebie

Have Vittoria managed to produce a tyre that doesn’t try to kill you in the wet yet? Terrible things normally if it ever rains on you.
