Anyone got a good recipe for a fritter mine taste a bit crap. Should a slightly fry the carrot or courgette first. Perhaps they need to be thinner.

    Any ideas welcome. . .

    gram flour! about 150-200grams
    1 x egg
    hotwater
more garam masala than you think 2 x tablespoons
1/2 (half not 1-2) small chilli very finely cut
    1/2 (half) teaspoon cumin

mix in bowl like pancake mix

    add finely diced
    tomato
    pepper
    red onion

use a wooden spatula to flatten out in non stick pan with a little oil

if i add potatoes or courgette thenyes I fry first

I did beetroot fritters like that earlier in the week. Rather tasty. I boiled our beets for 10 min first as they’re pretty big and woody.

Didn’t bother with garam masala, just used some ground corriander and fresh chili.

Bit of black onion seed in there helps as well. Always add that into my bhaji and pakora batter.
