What is the best way to follow a GPX/S file or route? Do I need to splash out on a garmin or something similar or is there an app for iPhone that can do the job? I can read a normal map fine but never used OS maps before so wouldn’t have a clue where to start.

    Thanks for your help STWers.

I would learn how to read an OS map and carry one as a backup if you’re in places that need navigation.

Alternatively there are lots of apps that let you follow routes on an iphone, viewranger is a good one.

High end garmins are also capable but big money.

Thanks somouk. Any tips on where to start with reading OS maps or is it fairly self explanatory?
