    endomondo tends to measure my runs about 4% shorter than mapmyrun.

    Anyone know which is (more) correct? I guess it could be that mapmyrun presumably measures the centre line of the roads whereas I am on pavements and cutting corners etc.

    don’t think either is truely accurate, they all approximate altitude, position etc.

    It can often depend on the measurement and recording interval of the GPS receiver, especially if it is a route with lots of tight corners.

    It’s not what you’re asking but I find GMAPS pedometer and my garmin are very close on distances. Certainly less than 1%.
