This is just a shout out to thank someone, in case the individual himself is on the forum or anyone knows him.
Two of us were biking the Gypsy Glen/Kirkhope Law descent on Saturday afternoon, with my girlfriend running and accompanied by a dog. G had a crash on high and, it now turns out, broke his arm and shoulder. We strapped him up and I sped off on the bike to get the car to get him to hospital.
A GP, early-thirties, out with his wife and two young children gave up his mobile phone to let K ring me, gave clear medical advice and then stopped me as I belted along the road to show me where the bike was stashed.
If this was you, or you know anyone this might be, around 5’8″, short-cropped hair and clearly outdoorsy, then please pass on a big thanks from all of us. This kind of generosity helped us, helps us all and is a major contribution to mountain safety. Many, many thanks.
