Soon the dark evenings will be drawing in! So I though i’d share pictures of how I mounted my Solar Storm on my hat! Already had a Gopro mount on hat, unscrewed bar mount on Solar Storm, used double sided number plate tape (similar to 3M) bought off fleabay, stuck tape to bottom of SS and on the flat side of a GP tripod mount, heated up tape and stuck both together. Slotted tripod mount into a GP swan neck arm and and found a suitable bolt and adjuster to fit as the GP bolt was not long enough. It’s held on pretty good, it’s slightly offset because both GP mounts are 3 sided. Trying it out tonight so I’ll soon find out if it falls off! Not posted pictures before so I hope they come out ok!

Great Idea! I’d been trying to work out how to do this & hadn’t thought about using the tripod adapter. I’ve got a spare one somewhere…

Just tested it out! Works great, hit a few low light branches and it didn’t move at all. Swan neck mount was wobbling around a bit so put a bit of insulation tape on the mount and now it’s solid! Nearly all set for winter, converting the 29er to single speed is next!
