Tick, I’m looking at the 960 at the moment.

is the 1080 worth that much more, does the lower frame rate work for bikes (i understand on the 720 resolution is at 60fps?)

got a gopro wide from a guy on one of the motorbike forums works really well with the chest mount but will be replacing it with either an hd hero or the 960 model.

the new screen attachment is available for the back of the hd one but not the 960.

either way they’re pretty expensive but are VERY good…

get the chest mount and a big memory card, charge up the batteries and bring it along to the swinley ride, keep it in highest resolution possible unless you think you’ll be extra stylish whilst riding in which case set it to 60fps@720p so i can use the slow motion fancy bits 😀

got my 960 from an American Ebay seller, had to pay import duty though but still saved 50 quid at the time

its gone up a bit now (and the import duty was 14 quid)
quality is fantastic though and more than good enough

I have had the 1080p HD one for over a yr now, use it for both skiing and MTB’ing. Works great, takes the knocks and bangs (shakes etc) with no probs at all at the min. Footage is good quality, but i use it in 720p 30FPS as it has the wider field of view than 1080p mode. All so youtube and my pc only do 720p. Never botherd with the 60fPS mode as this is for slow mo video.

Over all great little camera that so far is standing the test of time with regards working in harsh enviroments, and the go pro also has excellent mounts to back up the camera.

Worth an e-mail too to get a free mount and cover 😀

Would recommend the Go Pro HD. I’ve had one for a year now and you can do more than just point-of-view stuff. Rigged one on a rip-line a week or so ago.
