I’m trying to work out where I’ve been driving today. If I click ‘add a destination’on google maps, it keeps guessing the route which is invariably wrong. Is there a way to turn off this guessing feature? When I try and drag it to change it just ends up in a right mess. I remember exactly where I’ve been so just need a way of inputting that exactly so I can calculate mileage.

    Thanks

No, you can drag and change it, you only need a few points to get it right usually.

You cannot plot a route explicitly, but try http://bikeroutetoaster.com/ if that’s what you need.

Thanks, just got in from work earlier. I’ll try again in a bit when I’m not so knackered.

I’ve noticed that since google maps changed when you try to drag the route to change it it does end up in a total mess

I think if you click about somewhere you can get back to the old google maps.

When I go to google maps on my lappy i get new maps, but my desktop still goes to the old version of maps so I must have clicked something to put it in classic mode or something
