Levellers in Leeds a couple of weeks ago. I’m annoyed with myself that I’ve missed so many opportunities to see them over the last 25 years.

Apart from Glastonbury the only gig I’ve done this year was teanage fanclub at Bristol the other week. They were a bit flat if you ask me, but in a consistent mellow way that is their appeal. Best thing I’ve seen was lcd soundsystem at Glastonbury: I thought they would be ok but they were top banana.

Very little this year, work away from home and other stuff got in the way:
Muse – Very big and loud and wow, worth the money even if I’m not a huge fan (but Seadog the Younger is, which made it even more worth it)
Low – at The Sage in Gateshead, very small close and intimate, excellent, have waited years to see them. Much louder than their reputation!

Do have Kraftwerk and The Maccabees to look forward to next year! And it’s a year for going to a Festival too I think.

Thoguht this thread at died at 16 posts! excellent resurrection.
@vickpea – All bands that a lot people have heard of were once not heard of by many people. And that, I think you’ll find, is a FACT! 😉

    Getting quite popular.

Not that much shlock/horror metal, accordian driven competion to be fair, but we love him.

Quiet year for me but made up for that bigtime with the Placebo 20 year show last week 😛 OMG were they awesome or what!!!

Bought tickets for Highly Suspect at Bristol Thekla for next year but gutted as they cancelled – yet to get to see anyone at that awesome venue. Hoping to see Alice Cooper next Easter in the States 8)

    Springsteen: never disappoints.
Manchester – 33 in the pit queue, on the rail
    Coventry – 78, with Mrs & boy
    Wembley – 217
and in a completely different way, Wilko Johnson at the Wallingford Blues & Beer Festival.

So far looking forward to Dylan & JAMC in 2017.
