Fed up with stuff that shrinks/fades/falls apart after a few washes

    Long-sleeve, no tie, where from?

A lot of the more formal high street shirt makers have casual lines so you could try TM Lewin, Charles Tyrwhitt etc.

Do you mean something like an ‘Oxford shirt’? If so I bought a few from the American shop LL Bean a few years back, and they are tough as nails.

Lewins have some decent casual shirts. I bought a few online recently and am wearing one today. Nicely cut, fine for work, fine for the pub. Not too pricy if bought in an order of 4 or more shirts.

I have some Hartford shirts, not cheap but good cut and quality.

For a work environment. TM Lewins 4 for £100. Not the quality they were 30 years ago but pretty good for the price. Wide variety of styles/collars/designs. FWIW I much prefer them to Charles Trywhitt.

If you want more casual designs …

Boden’s are good but £40-£45 each
