Hi, looking for a holiday in the Dordogne (not full riding, unfortunatly) with the family but want to fit in some good trails at the same time.

    Thanks.

did exactly that a few (10?) years ago. picked up a book from the local tourist infomation that had 20+ routes in. They were all rather good. lots of woodland. Weather was very good (July), suppose that helps.

    I would do a bit of google-ing

where ever I go in the Haute Vienne / Dordogne I see VTT (velo toute terrain / MTB) routes all over the place when out in the countryside.
In the center of most / alot of villages there are route boards for local randonne routes to

    Google vtt dordogne

We stayed near Chalus a few years ago and there were plenty of woods for cycling in. Nothing technical as far as I could see, but good for a trip out.
