RS Argyle. Or if you can’t find an argyle in a non-gopping colour, coil pike with x-firm spring wound down to 100mm or so. Easy to fix/find parts for, and go for ages between services.

    Fox 831’s.
    Internally adjustable 80/100/120mm
15mm bolt thru might not suit your front wheel though.

I see what you mean about the colour… maybe sand ’em down and paint ’em.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll start savin’!

Quick question, anyone got a 24/seven frame?

Argyles need a 20mm front hub.

Society Xenos are a mixed bag. Cheap’n’cheerful they are very stiff and have an adaptor for 20mm/QR axles but they have quite a bit of stiction and the rebound is insane on all but the slowest setting.

Might be an option if you are on a budget.
