    Hey,

just wondering what people think the best bb7 brake pads are at the mo?

Did Surrey hills today with the brakes lacking some what. Think some crap must have got on them so time for a change.

    Cheers

Aztec pads have always done well for me on pretty much all brakes.

Good, non-shonky, and a decent price.

Superstar for me but must admit to also bulk buying the cheapest out there. Can’t tell the difference.

I like SS kevlar’s atm. Not sure what availability is like, someone posted a few weeks ago that the kevlar were out of stock.

The Uberbike race matrix pads were a big improvement over stock pads on my TRP Spyres. I will buy them for my BB7’s when I need to replace the pads in them

superstar organic for me. quiet. work well.

    Whats wrong with Avid?

They cost up to 6 times as much as the superstars, and they’re noisier.

They might last a bit longer (50%? – I didn’t keep records), but the noise on it’s own would be enough for me to take the Superstars. Add in the cost and it’s a no-brainer.

    Avid.

I don’t go through pads frequently enough to notice the higher cost.

I always go organic on the road / cross bike – better bite, quiter and don’t go thorugh them quickly enough to be a problem.

Have used superstar, uberbike, Brand X and OEMs, not noticed a huge difference.

Really? I notice the higher cost when I look at the price of each of them.

For example: £17.99 for one pair v £15 for 4 pairs (occasionally £10)

    Easy, isn’t it? 😉
