Going up to ride Dalbeattie and Mabie etc in a couple of weeks and looking for somewhere to stay for a couple of nights during the week. Was thinking staying in Dumfries for places to eat and pubs etc.
Anyone got any recommendations for vaguely bike friendly accomodation??

Not Dumfries but The Break Pad in Castle Douglas is excellent, it's run by the two girls who run the bike hire place at Kirroughtree. Close to Dalbeattie and Mabie, about 35-40min drive to Kirroughtree (the best of the 7 Stanes IMHO).
Good range of pubs and restaurants in Castle Douglas and the Break Pad breakfast is ace! 
Dunno how many of you there are but this place is great and cheap.
Basic bunkhouse by trails pretty much on door step. Oh and did I mention the hottub......
try the wigwams at the entrance to Dalbeattie, can't find the website link but its a small equestrian centre/farm. You can hire there as well, cheap as £30 for 2 peeps, great facilities.

Had a great time there in September. Only 4 wigwams, great kitchen facilities etc very clean and a cracking sunset.
This place is very good and very bike friendly. The bothies were sound.
Just got back from Urr Lodge today and it was incredible, clean, well maintained, secure bike storage and a whole lot more.
We are thinking of having our mountaineering club weekend there next year.
The pub the Laurie Arms does superb food and great ales.
I have stayed in a load of places over the years and Urr Lodge is up there with the best.
