im currently running stans 355 rims with panaracer fire xc pro and a tube, but looking for a change, with something with a little less drag. Do i need the yellow tape, as my rim already has a black seal type of thing, see picture

Other than that is it just the following i need?

    valves
    sealant

also looking at getting the nobby nics evo that are on one would these be ok sealing on the rims.

    Thanks

Looks like your rim currently has a strip of electrical tape covering the spoke holes. Which I can almost guarantee won’t really be enough.

Yellow tape on a 355 with a tubeless valve is great for if you’ve got tyres that are already tubeless compatible. If they’re not already tubeless compatible, you’ll need a Stans rimstrip. If you’re going for some of the cheap Schwalbes from On One, make sure you get the “evo” ones. These are tubeless compatible (with sealant) so will save you some expenditure and hassle in the long run.
