Hi, probably a really simple question, but if you don’t ask etc 🙂

I am thinking of going tubeless, I am going to get a Stan’s conversion kit, do I need special tyres as well? I have smorgasbord on my bike at the moment, and would prefer not having to fork out for new tyres as well.

Cheers, and apologies if this is a really simple question!

smorgasboards work well – no need for new tyres.

While you don’t need new tyres, if yours are old/worn/been-punctured they can be a PITA or indeed impossible to pump up.

Fairly new 🙂 I give new meaning to the phrase fair weather cyclist 🙂

If you’re using flow rims i’d avoid the smorg, they are way too slack on them

smorgasboards went up well on my stans crest 29s.

SMorgasboard works perfectly on my Flow (front) Sentinel (rear) wheels. Really doubt that it would blow off the Flow, it is a tight fit and went up easy as anything with just a track pump.
Even with no air in it stays locked into the rim very tightly.
