    I really don’t like the shimano brakes on the c456 I got second hand a while ago. As I’d already got a spare x2 front I decided to take advantage of the halfords hope sell off and buy a rear hope x2.

    One thing I haven’t considered is will I need a different adaptor / new disks for it to work ?

    As long as the shimano brake is post mount, which im sure it is, it should bolt straight on.
