Good saddle by all accounts – kium needed or will the manganese do?

When I was building a Niner hardtail I drove the weight loss as far as I could go. I paid the premium for the best I could get.
But when it came to saddles and grips (key contact points) I went for what was most comfortable. In my case that was a Gobi.
To my mind saddle comfort is more important in rigid and hard tail bikes than on a full bouncer. You may argue that case.

I have found on a variety of different Fizik Aliantes that the carbon rail/carbon saddle is the comfiest, then the Kium rail/carbon saddle, then the Kium rail/nylon and finally the bog standard delta one. Your mileage may vary, but I try and get the carbon ones wherever possible.

Can’t afford carbon – this is a cheapo build

If your doing 3 or hour xc rides regularly then the kium rails are probably worth it. If not the mag version will probably do you well. From experience the mag version is marginally stiffer.

    So its here already….

Less than 24 hrs, free postage and more than 50% off retail price

How the actual **** can a local bike shop compete with that?

    (oh, and its very nice)
