Can get hold of one of the above for £244. Is this a good deal, or merely a mediocre deal?

Also, I read a lot of tinterweb chat about the Go Pro Hero 3s being unreliable and buggy, which resulted in a lot of moaning about their customer service.

Any opinions would be welcome. They look like they are still the market leaders – I don’t think the Contour Roam, Sony thingy or Garmin space helmet look-a-like have really dented their share of the market, but don’t want to splash out if I should wait for the next model.

I have a 3 and 3+ both Black editions. No issues at all.

Had a silver 3 with an issue and sorted by GoPro really quickly, even though unit was over a year old and I had no receipt.

£244 is pretty good. A new version is no doubt out later this year, but another will be out a year later etc….. I’d get one now for that price.

My Go Pro Hero 3+ Black has been great so far. I bought mine new off someone on ebay for a similar price.
