I bought a bike at 7.45 am on line having looked at in in store in Sheffield yesterday. After this it disappeared from the website and I received a confirming email.

I went in store in Sheffield later and bought some bits and pieces and they still had one of the same bike available in store at midday.

Guess how I felt to recieve an email timed at 5pm saying they had cancelled the on line order!!!!

How good their customer service realy is will be revealed tomorrow.

Hey Jim sorry to hear that….

It seems lots on here got some bargains in store…. Fight them hard with your internet purchase time – sure someone will have got something you ordered, in-store after that time???

They may be big but not invincable 😉
Remember you have lots of buddies on here…..

Go Outdoors = great customer service.

Sam in the Sheffield store who worked an hour late Thursday night showing us the bike has sorted me out with one left in stock in Sheffield 🙂

John Graham who built the bussiness has always valued customer service and staff training which is reflected in how the shops work.

I received some of the best customer service I have ever experienced in the Pudsey (Leeds) store yesterday, and as a ex-retail manager I really test it sometimes!! Both the lads on the bike section were amazing and the lass on the till (Tori) I honestly do not think could have done more. I made a point of writing on their service whiteboard they had in the entrance I was so impressed. If evans cycles had the same level of service they would dominate the cycle shop world.
Ok they don’t sell top end bits or bikes but they some good stuff and make an excuse to go again whenever I can.

There really is a customer service attitude at gooutdoors, particularly in sheffield. Their stock may be all over the place, and its not exactly a bike specialist, but they are a great shop.

If you go to the Go Outdoors Bristol store, ask for Layla. She’s a real-world cyclist.

I’ve never found anything in the Sheff shop I’d want to buy, it always seems to be full of bike shaped objects and chap tat.

Similar (positive) experience here – Go-Outdoors do have very good customer service when things go awry – my local store sorted out a stock transfer after my online order went out of stock a couple of months ago.

As for the bike event I got SLX Shifters, SLX Front Der and a shedload of lube and energy food all at half price yesterday.
