Is there any reason this will result in death as long as I use tubeless compatible tyres like g-ones? The pressures will be a bit higher than any mtb tubeless set up I’ve had. I was just going to tape with stans/tesa tape and put valves in.

I ran XM319’s ghetto tubeless with non-tubeless Vittoria XG Pro’s with only one burp and that was at around 35psi.

419s are what you want if you can still get them. They come with the Mavic tubeless rimstrips which are superb and virtually anything will work tyre wise. I ran Marathon Plusses very successfully. They’re a brilliant rim for the price.

Peterpoddy – I already have the XM719s. They date for the olden days of 2011 when 29ers were cool and 19mm was a wide rim.
