  • glen finglas loop..any good?

    Heading out tomorrow.fancy something away from the trail centres.have heard mixed report of this loop.anyone any experience of this loop?

    No singletrack in it but still a great ride for scenery, climbs and a long fast descent. Did it anti-clockwise.

    anticlockwise is my favourite. It's pretty short on it's own, but nice if tacked onto something from Aberfoyle maybe

    More a winter route when everything else is keeched up.

    Trails are dry right now – take the singletrack over to Glen Buckie and do some exploring

    Did it last year when the snow was just melting, utter torture as all the landrover tracks were soggy and the wheels just sank into them. Its nice but I cant see the attraction TBH. Try going up the trail from Loch Lubnaig through Glen ample then turn right on the road for a mile or so then up over Vorlich and Stuc then back down into Callander for a fun day out 😉

    Yeah I meant when it was frozen 😉

    Glen Ample now also a LRT but otherwise your suggestion could be combined with mine.
