Green Chilli or Shish Mahal for curry. Opium or the Cafe by the Lexus garage near Charing Cross for Oriental. Mediterraneo on Ingram St or Picollo Mondo for Italian.

I ate in Tiffney’s on Sunday which, if they like steak, is very very good. Nice intimate restaurant (used to be Tatty Macs etc).

I always have a good meal at Two Fat Ladies (Blythswood Sq one) and it always feels more expensive than the bill would suggest.

Curry upstairs at Mother India is always a hit when I take people from out of town.

    pffft…

A mere 9 inch Munchie box. A snack at best.

Had a 16 inch Munchie Box from the Snappy Chapati on Saturday 😳

Two Fat Ladies @ The Buttery is nice.
    Mother India for Curry.

Crabshakk for seafood. Book well in advance, it’s very small and popular.

I’m a big fan of The Blythswood for high end dining

    Loved Fanny Trollopes

ditto Crakshakk (book as above – it’s tiny)

I personally didn’t think 2 Fat L was that good

I always liked Rogano’s but more for the stunningly art deco place than the food which was still pretty good.

Likewise, 2 Fat Ladies was good but Crabshakk was head and shoulders above it.

    Thairiffic for great Thai (obvs)
The Butcher Shop for expensive tasty meat
    Mother India (guess)
Malaga Tapas (probs too rustic for this request, but great food and atmosphere)

too hungry to continue, heading for lunch

Quite a few places round Finnieston are good – Ox & Finch is excellent but if you want a table at the weekend there’s a 4 week wait, Crabshakk is good for seafood as is The Finnieston, Porter & Rye gets great reviews for steaks if you fancy some of that (never been myself) as does The Butchershop… The Gannet also seems well reviewed but not been in there either.

Mother India if you fancy a curry, everyone appreciates a good curry.

Not been out in town much recently but Riverhill on West Nile St has some fantastic stuff on the menu but has more of a bistro feel than a fancy restaurant.

I’m starving now, cheers for that 😕

*edit* not entirely relevant but if anyone fancies a pizza in town Paesano on Miller St is tremendous…

Don’t know if its still the same but last time I was in Mother India and Fanny Trollopes they were both BYOB. Not sure if it’s still the same.

    But yeh both are good.
