  • Giro Terraduro Any One bought them?

I’m tempted to go for Giro Terraduro shoes as the old M200s have finally split after nearly 2 years and plenty of hike a bike in the lakes recently saw them fail.

    Any owners feed back appreciated.

    Cheers

First version all had the soles fall off. Then they had a revised version. Last I heard the soles were falling off them too? Shame, they looked spot on otherwise.

2 pairs and neither have had the issues with the sole. the standard footbed isn’t the best but I like them.

Nah, the first version were rubbish I.e the soles. Since then they’ve been good. Had mine for 12 months, 3+ rides a week and no issues so far. Great shoes.

I’ve had mine for a year. Couple of rides per week and they’re still ok.

They do seem to come up quite tight though. I ordered 2 sizes too large, and I think I would struggle to wear them with thicker socks. Fortunately I have Defrosters for winter

No probs with my two pairs apart from the sizing issue. I’m a 45 in Shimano and a 45 in Giro means thin socks and trimmed toe nails are a must.

I like mine a lot. Sizing is slightly snug but I find they’re consistent with other shoes I own (i.e. The same size as my other shoes but I want my cycling shoes snug, less so my casual trainers..). Also available in a wide version if you find them tight that way. No issues with sole delamination. The new mid model looks great.

They do an HV- High Volume- model for chunkers.
They are by no means a wide fitting, just more up top . I usually take a wide fitting in Lake and Sidi, but the HVs were just too big. I tightened the buckle right to the end and couldn’t get it off. Had to drive to Evans (fortunately only 10 mins) for them to cut it off.
Talking of buckles, they’re decidedly low rent compared to Sidi, and a bit warm on summer days, but at least they grip on rocks.
one year on, no issues with 2nd gen sole here.

If it helps, I was going for a pair of these but got put off by the sole issues. I went for a pair of Specialised Rime instead and they’re really good.

I found the normal version to tight also so went for the HV which I thought were fine to start with but after stretching a little they are now to big in thin socks.
Shame as they are great shoes

Can’t see any mid ones arogers?

There is a new version, do you have a link to the details? I can’t find anything.

Very pleased with mine – very comfy and no problems so far. Mine are probably the later version.

Length-wise the sizing seemed about right – however needed to go for the HV version to get the width right.

I ordered a selection of sizes and fits then made the most of a free returns deal 🙂

    MSP,

Look them up on pink bike go back a few days, full flap over the lace and high elastic cuff to keep the water at bay.

ok found them, they are an addition tto the range rather than a replacement, look like a good autumn early spring option, as long as they go up to full adult sizes with them.
