  • Giro Helmets – What's the difference?

Looking at a new helmet for MTB. Giro fits me perfect, so that bits done. I’ve got a Giro Feature which is great BUT pretty warm. Soooo, I’m looking at Hex Xen Xar with more, bigger vents. I can see that the outside shells are slightly different designs / colourways but they all kinda seem the same despite price differences. Anyone know what the REAL differences are? Ta

Usually fit system/weight/ventilation but I think Giro differentiate less between mid and high end helmets than other brands.

Xen isn’t made anymore. Hex is cheaper than Xar, but has more vents.

Apart from that, apparently one of them is suited to Super D, the other isn’t. (Don’t ask me!)

    I have a Feature and a Xar.

The Xar is much better ventilated. It’s a good comfy helmet!

I have a Feature, very comfy and my head feels well protected but I sweat like a PIG in it.

I have a Hex as it was cheaper than the Xar but more ventilated than the feature.
