To me they look a bit like Trance in terms of design – but how do they ride?

T'other half has one. Rear suspension action is smooth and controlled compared to similarly priced stuff (she bought the '09 FX3 for £300). The frame has some nice features such as holes cast into the BB/pivot shell to let water out and hydroformed tubes.

Hers is heavy, but has heavy forks and wheels. I reckon a serious experienced rider would quickly expose its short comings, but for a beginner/ someone who doesn't take things too serious its a decent enough bike.
