if it was me with a £3.5k bike i would say that something fell on it in the house and claim that way!!

Giant Warranty department suck or is it the LBS?

That's a hell of a lot of damage for a crash that you walked away from. Giant do apparently have a crash replacement policy on some of their bikes. Think its at cost for the frame.

Quick update...
I have been emailed (on the back of this post) from a couple of bike shops and apparently Giant does do a crash replacement policy, so my LBS (On Yer Bike Blackburn) won’t be getting any more of my money…
I am talking to the bike shops and they are being very helpful, and hoping to do a deal soon, because I don’t want the bike to look silly with have un-matching bits (i.e. frame and forks)

Its good that folk are willing to help you out.
But, get a grip re "matching" parts. Respraying fork lowers is easy if this really matters to you.

Respraying forks is not as easy or as cheap as sending out a few emails to see who has the correct bits to match.
