    Hi
    currently on old Orange 5, which I love, but £2500….. it's a lot …..

    I can get a new Trance 1 08 for chips, and to be honest my previous Giant (old hardtail) was fine, my riding ability will be exceeded by either design (old git, xc trail and somewhere new days out).

    Thoughts – the amount/time/cost of doing rear suspension maintenance and availabilty of bits ( as Giant seem to change design all the time) and I'll be riding it all year round.

    Hayes brakes – ditto, are they ok and pads etc easy to get.

    Any overall opinions

    I love my Trance(it's an 07) but the suspension is a pain in the ass to clean in the winter….
