Hi all I may buy a giant reign for the SO. However on the Giant website, the bike is set up with a 150 mm fork.
Was that always the case? Can I get away with a 120 mm marzocchi fork for a bike that is about 2 years old?

You could get away with it, but it wouldn't ride very well, I'm afraid!

Well this is why I asked CFH 😉
Giant website only gives me 2010 bikes. So maybe the 2008-2007 reign use to have less travel. Hence my question.

You can go back several years on Giant's website if you look.
It'll need at least a 140mm to make it handle anything like.
120 on a Trance, but not a Reign.

Juan, for her to really enjoy her ride, I think she needs a little more than 4.7"

i got a 2005 frame with 140mm on it could easily go 160mm, i did try it with 130mm when i killed my forks and wasnt great, waste of frame with that little
the frame is currently redundant as it happens in size medium in cherry brown?
