I’m getting round to doing a job on my newish Propel in shortening the outer cables as the way they built it seems to have alot of excess cable wagging around. On the two gear cables that loop up and enter the top tube vertically, do the internal runs have internal tubes that the cables run through or do I need to make sure I attach a threat to the inners before I withdraw them?

    Ta very much.

Yes there are two internal cable guides. Watch out for the front derailleur cable, I had to take mine into the Giant shop to finish a groupset swap because as hard as I tried, I couldn’t get the cable around the internal bottom bracket. It’s a skill and you have been warned! I’ve built quite a few bikes, and this was the first internal cable routing to defeat me.
