To start, 20cent bar ends:

A 20 euro cent coin fits inside a lockjaw clamp and holds just as well as mounting the grips normally. Cheaper and sturdier than plastic ones.

Duct tape frame protection:

Protects your downtube from rock strikes. Just take some thin kid’s foam and cut it narrower than your duct tape. Then stick it to your downtube using the edges of tape that stick out.

I sellotaped my pump to my frame. It works just like a frame mount except when you get a puncture in the rain the tape won’t stick back on and it’s all a bit crap really.
