    So.
We used to be awesome. Sort of.
    But that’s not the point.
To all you tech sound gurus out there… What minimum kit do we need, taking into account the completely broke factor of post Xmas-ness.

    We have
    Electric and acoustic guitar
    Boss effects unit
Electronic drum kit and midi drum machine
    A Mac with amplitude
    Some speakers

How can we plug everything together to play as a band? Do i need a PA setup? A DI box?

You don’t need a PA. You do need a rehearsal room. Most come with a PA and possibly drum kit & amps for about £25-£30 for a 2-3 hour session

You also need a sense of humour and a little talent

Everything else will follow. Good luck 🙂

We found a local recording studio that rented one of its rooms out as a rehearsal room. A tenner an hour (so pennies between 4/5 of you) and it came with a PA and a battered drum kit.

You can wang your BOSS effects into the PA if you don’t have a guitar amp. Drums’ll go through it too. If you’re not playing with an acoustic drum kit, it needn’t even be that deafening.

So get out there and hrrrrock! 🙂

+ your imagination = more than enough, anything else will be up to you.

I’m guessing if you don’t know what you need then you’re way off producing anything interesting

    Just a thought
