I’m getting a citroen belingo and need some ideas for storage and securing bikes in the rear…

Pics of your rear van setup would be good.

    Thanks

mtb and tt bike in there for a weeks road trip sleeping on the boards on the left which double up as a roof across the open back doors to cook under

They rest on my tool box and bits and bobs but under the bed is where my clothes and stuff go , its cosy but workable and given size of van you can park it anywhere without much suspision – ive slept on main high streets when i couldnt find a suitable location in country and equally in forestry carparks.

Also im 6ft 3 and all i do is push the drivers seat forwards on the sliders . When not sleeping in back 3 bikes go in fully built or 5 with front wheels off

I have an Escort 55.. kind of similar I suppose. not as tall, though.
I use bungee cords. One long one starting from the stem, going one side of the stem, then cross the top tube and wrap aroudn the seat clamp and attach behind the rear wheel. That sounds a lot more confusing than it is.. picture a cursive L. The front wheel is turned almost 90 degrees and the rest of the bike falls pretty flush to the side wall. I keep a bin bag cut up to wrap around the chain if I am sleeping in the van.
At work, no pics available. 🙁

Trail Rat, I like the portable box/tool box as the base for a bed. Much better than building a removable sleep box. Wish I would have thought of it years ago. Are there multiple bins to disperse weight or just one heavy duty guy?

Two boxes one at each end – ones a propper metal drawer tool box the others the plastic bin

Leaves a 4 ft gap between for bags – i usually have them the other way round with the toolbox at the back so i can get to it

The boards also go flat on the bottom and store out the way completely when not sleeping and are good for a roof to get changed under

That board is actually bathroom wetwall so quite tough but flexy comfy – i put my thermarest on top though and getting off the floor makes a huge difference i slept on the floor on a thermarest once it was freezing ! – the set up above was good to -20

I just bungee them to the side, the cushions are for the dog.
