Where did native americans actually come from originally?

And is it possible/probable/proven that another race inhabited Northern America before them?

I remember seeing a great documentary about a viking grave that was found on ‘spritual’ Native American ground, therefore access being denied to research it properly before being washed away.

well originally we’re all out of africa – so the shortest land route from there is the most obvious. Crossing whats now the Baring straights modern native americans and eskimos (and native south americans) will have common ancestors with todays mongols and asians.

Vikings….. even if it were a genuine find, rocked up an awful lot later in human history.

Conventional theory is crossing land bridge at Bering Strait 15000-13000 years ago from central Asia, but woody2000’s response is more logical. Stick a sub for Nat Geographic on the Chrimbo list, it’s really rather good.

It’s fairly widely accepted that all sorts of folks had been to America and even North America before that Colon
