My wife is pregnant, and is now 21 weeks down the line. We’re heading down to GT this weekend where she’ll probably gingerly pootle around the Blue, but on Sunday we were thinking of something a little longer, but not too technical or strenuous. I’m familiar with the moorland trails of the Tweed Valley, but can anyone suggest anything a bit more gentle?

I was thinking of riverside paths that are bikeable.

My wife and I just followed the river bank (far side not the side with the sports center and park land)from the bridge in the town center then along the old railway line and then back past Eagles rock. Easy to follow on the OS map.

the path y the side of the tweed, past here was fun, quite muddy yesterday though, some fun but smooth woods once you cross the river and head back on the disused railway side too
