A bit torn about trying to sell this, but ultimately would rather something with gears that I could also use for touring, as my knees were not too happy about 100k days singlespeed.
If you're tougher than me, or fancy sticking to short blasts in the woods or just want a very nice little commuter, then read on.
Genesis Day One Frame and fork, 56cm (would suit 5'10" perfectly, I'm 5'11" and always wanted the handlebars a tiny bit further away. A longer stem would have done the job.)
Stock wheels. Spinning well, true and evenly tensioned. Rims still have life left although they never had wear indicators so I can't tell how much!
Upgraded Avid Shorty 4 brakes with very little use on them.
Stock bars/stem/seatpost with new bar tape and the stock saddle which had very little use before I stuck one of my own on. Salsa seat clamp.
Drivetrain: Octalink XT cranks. Cranks have had a year's use, BB significantly more. BB still spins fine though, if a little rough to the fingers. Renthal 40t Chainring, KMC 1/8" chain, White Industries 18t freewheel, basic chaintug and Deore QR holding it in.
Shimano M520 pedals, Kenda SB8 32c tyres (front brand new, rear ~three months use.
and just to prove I've replaced the bar tape...
Could still be convinced to keep this, so looking for £400 posted, £375 collected from Edinburgh or nearby. Can't do paypal as it won't play with my new bank account
