Hi guys need thoughts on this

Currently running

24/34. 11-42 11 speed

I have been considering the move to 1x but really enjoy having the extra 34 tooth which I tend to use a lot for the flat stuff although having to go to the 42t a lot for smaller climbs I still have to drop down to the 24front to get me up the longer steeper climbs..

I have been looking at the gear range settings on some of the web sites and from what I can make out as I’m not very good at this stuff

30 up front with 11-50 at the rear gives me almost the same range as my 2x set up

All this is on the fatty so I have used the 29 wheel size even though it is only 26 but with the extra tyre size .

Can any one of you help and have a look into it for me please

You’ll have a slightly higher bottom gear and a slightly lower top gear.

if your not changing wheels then it doesn’t matter what size you put in the calculator.

Are you looking at the Sunrace MX80 cassette for this OP?
